National Resistance and Anticapitalist struggle in Italy. For a Social Revolution!

Since its inception, Italian Resistenza Nazionale (National Resistance) movement has developed as a form of non-hierarchical militant activism completely disconnected from classical structures such as political parties and leadership centralism. Taking the example from european Autonome Nationalisten front, RN try to express a new type of involvement, a grassroots activism, often individual and independent, in which there are not leaders, bosses, secretaries, managers, owners and more and where each group and individual members come together to achieve commonly agreed objectives.

A sort of 'militant voluntarism', which does not follow ‘fashion political tendencies' or the symbolic stereotyped nationalism, but, based on radical values and irreducibly concepts and with heterogeneous references, creates new paths and a new style of opposition, becoming the point of reference for anyone who really seek an alternative to passive acceptation of the system!

Facing the situation of economical, social and political breakdown, anticapitalism soon emerged like a milestone in our struggle, becoming an important battlefront for RN activists, a complaint against exploitation, greed, violence, imperialism of large corporations, globalization and anti-democratic oligarchy, the rule of profit on protection of the environment, criminal consumerism, against the alienation caused by a system that is based entirely on greed and selfishness.

The new permanent structure of global capitalism (in fact, we do not call this situation ‘a crisis’, because this is not a temporary situation, but the new structural reality of our society) have in fact produced an economical falling down of the European economy that begins to be felt heavily in several nations, like in Italy! Relocations, foreclosures and layoffs are taking place every day across our nation and in many European countries. There is a whole continent that is loosing its factories complex and undergoes almost in silence the devastating effects of decades of economic turbocapitalism and globalization.

In 2009 activists around the RN front started the Stop Capitalismo Network (http://stop-capitalismo.blogspot.it/ ), a mix of projects, events and propaganda that tries to make social communication, political and cultural anti-capitalism for an ongoing campaign against capitalism and globalization, trying to spread awareness! Because national anticapitalist politics come from real lives and the real world, they are a necessity, not a theory! We believe that even if you’re thinking big, it’s the small things you do every day that make a difference!

So, from the beginning Stop Capitalismo focussed its attention on precarity and criminal flexibility, making several street actions inviting peoples to become aware of the fact that this is a situation that is completely new and different from what we have seen in the past, a STRUCTURAL STANDING with negative effects that will be felt for decades!

We think that spreading awareness of the real situation is the first step toward a Social Revolution! Capitalism has nothing to offer us except an endless cycle of precarity, poverty, exploitation, recession and unemployment. Without understanding that capitalism is not only petty shopping, big malls and stupid consumerism but a system run purely for profit in the interests of privileged at the expense of all the others, a systematic project of exploitation of land and people for financial profit of a small group of élites at the expense of the lives of the masses, we can’t think about a Revolution!

All these experiences make us aware that there is a need of convergence of European national anti-capitalist struggles, that true European national-anticapitalists needed a common strategy and vision. This led in the end of 2011/beginning of 2012 to the birth of ACN/AKN! This is the way forward!

CAPITALISM is burying EUROPE!  Don't sit on the sidelines, join the struggle!

The BVG Strike: A co-operation between National-Socialists and Communists

"It doesn't matter if we are communists or national-socialists, because our stomachs have the same hunger, we must unite to steer the SPD bosses and to accomplish our goal."

This statement is from a NSBO-assembly during the '30's. This assembly was attended by 350 people, communists as well as national-socialists. The day before, several national-socialists joined a KPD congress and two years later in November 1932 it was finally time to still the "hunger" against the hated system. But what was the attraction between these two seemingly antagonist political movements? And should we take this unique historical situation as an example for the modern national and communist movements?

To answer these questions we have to look at the political and economic relations during the last four years of the Weimar republic. After the first hyperinflation crisis of '23 in the defeated Reich a second wave of economic crisis and social instability hit Germany in '29. The social democrats of the SPD, known as "social fascists" by the communists - fascists pretending to be socialist -, drastically deteriorated the circumstances for the German workers, thereby decreasing wages (up till 8%!) and increasing unemployment. Also the police repression and ban on the Wehrverbande SA and RFB led to discontent among the far right and far left in the political spectrum against the hated "sozi's" (social democrats).

During times of total crisis in the Weimar republic the national socialists as well as the communists saw themselves in the first place as socialists and their ideology as the only solution for the bad situation in Germany and that of the German proletariat. Next to the fact that they saw Germany as a semi-colony that was chained by the Diktat of Versailles and its eternal repatriations to the Dawes and later Youngplan, they saw a united enemy in the betrayers of the German social democracy. Both groups knew a strong anti-capitalist tendency. Although their anti-capitalism came from a different angle, this didn’t stop them supporting each other. For instance Ruth Fischer, leader of the leftwing of the KPD (Communist Party), spoke on a nationalist gathering for students in Berlin and met the anti-Semitic anti-capitalist critiques of the NSDAP: "Who comes into resistance against the Jewish capital, is a class warrior! (..) Trample these Jewish capitalists, hang them on lampposts, mash them and break them." Ernst Thalmann, chairman of the KPD, called out for a co-operation with the national socialists: "When strikes are organized in companies, it’s of fundamental importance that Nazi’s are also included in the strike committees". By this he meant the proletarian elements within NSBO and SA - the so called Nazi-prolets (Nazi proletarians).

Within the transportation company BVG the "brown" workers fraction of the national socialists was represented by the NSBO, the union organization of the NSDAP. The red fraction was represented by the RGO, the Red union opposition of the KPD. Together national socialists and communists founded a central strike leadership that actualized demands such as more salary, a 40 hour workweek, better working conditions and most important the abolition of the agreements system (Hoffmannschen Akkordsystem).

Soon workers without a Party affiliation and members of the ADGB were drawn to the meetings of the national socialists and communists. The KPD remained in a dominant position in the committee, who tried to convert the whole events at the BVG as "an up rise of the class conscious workers masses". But in fact the KPD had lost much influence in most industry and workplaces in Berlin; over 80% of the KPD support was jobless. The national socialists, who formed a minority among the strike leaders, left it unattended because for them the wage demands and struggle against BVG leadership was of foremost importance.

On the 3rd of November 1932 the strike started. Eight national socialists had occupied a tram stop, but were beaten away by the police whilst two SA men were arrested. A half hour later several national socialists and communists in the Reichs capital occupied several tram- and U-bahn stations, stopped the passing transport and removed all passengers from the vehicles. Armed with shields, the protesters put up a blockade against the police, whilst workers were informed to lay down their work. Scraps were attacked and their way to work was blocked. The communists handed out flyers against the SPD and the unions; remarkable was the fact that no single word of criticism of the communist propaganda was aimed against the NSDAP. In the late hours of the 3rd and 4rd of November street fights broke out with the police, streets and vehicles were destroyed and so-called "strike kitchens" appeared. In the heat of the battle many SA, SS and RFB members as well as many non-Party workers joined the protest. In these events the SA could be seen as the main engine of resistance and violence. Some SA members wanted to invigorate the strike by experimenting with explosives, this in disfavor of the communists. The streets of Berlin became the arena of mass activity of big social discontent aimed against the system in which the KPD leadership through the committee and her publications provided theoretical interpretations. But the real vigor on the streets was provided by the SA and SS.

On the third day of the strike, known as "Red Friday", several people were killed among the national socialists, communists and other workers, among the deadly victims was the well known SA-man Kurt Reppich. 47 people were wounded and 583 arrests followed the events. The leaderships of the NSDAP and KPD in the person of Joseph Goebbels and Walter Ulbricht interfered in the protests to win votes for the upcoming elections which followed on Sunday. Hitler’s decision to call the SA back to the barracks quickly ended the strike. The SA, who formed the true vigor and force behind the strike were now restricted in numbers and could no longer participate in sabotage actions.

Despite the fact that the co-operation during the BVG strike was not a matter of "hand in hand", but rather a matter of "shoulder against shoulder", it cannot be denied that both parties swapped their political interests for economic interests - both longed to change the conditions they lived under. During rallies, gatherings and protests there were clashes of violence between communists and national socialists, but on many occasions they also supported each other because they lived in the same neighborhoods and knew each other pretty well. This took shape in common actions against evictions, rent increase and so on. One must not look in black and white shades if it comes to the relations between communists and national socialists in the Weimar era.

A RFB-Führer during the strike shouted: "When the Party (KPD) will not fight the struggle against the fascists (the social democratic reaction), we will simply join forces with the Nazi's." Johannes Engel, founder of the NSBO who continued to strike even after the Party leadership in Munich had stopped to support the strike, can be cited through this words: "Who under the current situation does not yet have the courage to openly count himself to the national socialists, has to vote on the communist candidates, but certainly not on the free unions ("Freie Gewerkschaften")! I support the supervisory for the same reason the communists do." Engel his steadfastness costed him the prospect on a better position within the NSDAP.

If there is one thing the events during the BVG strike teach us is that the nationalist and socialist movement does not rule out each other, but complement each other because they have a common enemy: the ruling capitalist system and its crisis.

01-12-2012 Stop the Genocide of the Boer people (Farmers) in South Africa!

At the UN International Crime Court in The Hague (Netherlands) over 30 nationalist activists from the Netherlands, Flanders and South Africa faced the cold rain, to protest against the genocide of the Boer people (Farmers) in South Africa. The Boer people lives under an immense pressure. On a daily basis people are killed and the cultural genocide is also at a peak. There are many examples of these abuses, but unfortunately the media, governments and most humanitarian organizations remain silent. Meanwhile the ANC continuously incites hatred towards the Boer people, this has to stop!

The "Verkennerbeweging" in South Africa laid a complaint at the UN International Crime Court against the ANC and accuses them of genocide. Ruben Rosiers and Henk van den Graaf, who flew in from South Africa, gave speeches followed by traditional music. After about one hour the manifestation was dissolved and a commentary was held afterwards at a local catering facility.

18-11-2012 Stop the War! Freedom and safety for Palestine!

While a new wave of Israeli aggression towards the Palestinian people has burst out, the Israeli war orchestra comes to Antwerp to promote the responsible State terrorists of the IDF. As a protest several groups manifested against their performance at the province house in Antwerp, among them a delegation of the New-Solidarist Alternative (Nieuw-Solidaristisch Alternatief), Free Nationalists (Vrije Nationalisten) and the ANS/NSA. The Israeli army orchestra "Tzahal" is a music group that has been set up to promote the Israeli military and try to give this army a "humanitarian face". However the Israeli military is the executive body of the Israeli State terrorism the Palestinian people have to suffer from on a daily basis.

Last Wednesday Israel has again started a murderous offensive against the Gaza strip. The motivation for this offensive was the request of president Mahmoud Abbas to the United Nations to recognize Palestine as a non-member state. The operations of the Israeli army are related to the imperialist interventions in and the NATO aggression against Syria and Iran. Therefore we support the Palestinian people in their struggle against Zionism and occupation. We also recognize their right to an independent Palestinian nation.

About 150 protesters from very several movements showed their dissatisfaction near the Tzahal concert, which under the misplaced phrase "Born for Peace" promotes the murder of innocent civilians, elders, women and children. We will keep on fighting for the rights of the Palestinian people, because their rights are also our rights!

An Analysis of Capitalism

In this contribution the NSA will attempt to further elaborate on the matter of capitalism. How can we describe it, how does it work and how should we analyze this in the contemporary movement?

We consider society to be a class society, in which there is an ongoing class struggle every day. This class society exists out of different classes, the (propertyless) working class and the propertied class. The propertied class we call capitalists. In this matter we define property not as ownership of a house or a car, but as the ownership of the means of production. Think of capital, machines, land, labor and so on. The working class is forced to "hire" his labor to the capitalist in order to stay alive. The capitalist has to bring a product onto the market. This product has a certain value and profit, also known as surplus or overvalue. From the value of the product the workers wage is paid, who uses this to pay his rent and to buy provisions. Without this the worker would not be able to survive. The profit is used for the maintenance of the production machines en goes to the capitalists themselves (industrial owners and stockholders). This exploitation of the working class is what we call the capitalist economy.

For the NSA collective this is the only correct analysis of the capitalist system. In the early '20's Gottfried Feder thought that the crucial problem of capitalism lies in the sphere of money circulation. But we are not merely opposed to the economic system of debt slavery and the credit of banks (financiers- or banking capital). We believe, just like Marx, that the fundamental problem of capitalism lies in the ownership of the means of production. Therefore we stand on the basis of class struggle. A struggle between different classes who have different interests. The worker has an urge to survive, in which he depends on the capitalist class, who is only interested in more profits. This has been a fact throughout history: slave and slaveholder, bondman and feodal lord. Not only the private owners of the means of production are our enemies, but also their reformist collaborators such as the social-democrats, system-unions and all political organizations and parties who support the capitalist system with their "bonzocracy" (= when persons or leaders have only an interest in an organization or party because of personal interests) play a role in this.

So what would be the alternative for the cancer that is capitalist exploitation? The only credible alternative for the NSA is soviet-socialism. This would be the only way to completely destroy capitalism by means of revolution! The way in which we describe this revolution also forms the basis of our socialist economic politics. We define revolution as the overthrow of the capitalist class (or bourgeoisie). After this the working class will take collective possession of the means of production thereby realizing the dictatorship of the proletariat (= working class). So, the means of production no longer is the property of the small 1 % (non-productive) propertied class, but become collective property of the 99% of the propertyless masses (the actual producers!). Furthermore after the revolutionary transition a new formula of money circulation, value judgment and payment will be created in this new society based on the concept of the soviets. To formulate this new method we will quote comrade Otto Neurath from his work 'Wirtschaftsplan und Naturalrechnung' (page 83):

"The teachings of socialist corporate life know only one single producer-distributor, the society, which without profit loss-calculation, without circulation of money, organizes its production, be it in metal or labor money, on the basis of a production plan that organizes production and divides living standards according to socialist rules."

During the revolutionary transition of soviet rule the function of the state is taken over by (corporate, industrial, etc.) soviets, with the purpose to let the working class by means of basis-democracy organize the production. This is meant to prevent any bureaucratic-capitalist derailments (no new "bonzocracy" and no new bureaucratic class). We don't want state capitalism in which the working class doesn’t know any real say about the means of production and the organization of production.

We have concluded that a successful implementation of capitalism has to be on a global basis in which every people has to start and behold the revolution in its own nation. One people cannot start a revolution for the other, because the circumstances in each nation are different. Only if a global revolt is ensured, capitalism is truly eliminated. In a sense, we can describe this process as an "international nationalism", however NOT in the sense of Trotsky! There should be NO export of the revolution, every people has to liberate its OWN nation!

It must be very clear that we, the NSA collective, don't see soviet socialism as a temporary reaction on the current crisis of capitalism. Even if we all would have an acceptable standard of living we still should settle for nothing less than the complete destruction of the exploitative capitalist system. It’s only social justice for the masses in which we are interested. The exploitation of one human being by the other must stop. In the end only the revolution of the masses can be proclaimed and if certain individuals will not understand this, we must attend them to the words of comrade Carlos Martighela:

"If you don't want to do anything for the revolution, then don't you act against it!"

Comrades! Forwards to autonomous resistance!
For the unity of the working class on a revolutionary basis!
For direct action! For soviet revolution!

The Folk Community as an alternative for Capitalism

Society is not an abstract phenomenon which stands above the individual, but multiple little inter-relations. Within these relations it is the natural associations and social units that form the absolute basis for a harmonious society. These natural associations and social units take shape in the family, the community and the people. The peoples consciousness can be seen as the collective memory and historic essence of the ancestors from a people. These are tightly rooted in a common language as well as in the psychological nature of each individual, which is shaped by the cultural interaction of the group within her own environment. Each people can be seen as a part of humanity and represents a natural community of peace. So in fact the people and community who grow organically from a certain region become synonymous for the tem "nation".

The nation differentiates itself from the state, because the latter represents a natural "enemy". The nation represents the natural organic society without constraint, whereas the state never voluntarily came about. The state replaces free co-operation, voluntary solidarity and her consciousness (the folk community) by statist systems and laws who represent the social death of power politics and her bureaucracy. The only way to overcome the state is the growth of a true organic structure that exists in the form of family and the folk community.

Therefore our real enemy is the state in which the spirit of humanity finds itself. The abstract thinking, alienation, materialism and the overall submission. Brutal deeds can not bring about a better humanity, because a humane future can only exist if there is a humane present. Abstraction, mechanistic thought and cold blooded logic lies - as we know from capitalism and communism - are the root of the terrorist mentality. The answer to this must be construction instead of destruction: the organisation of an entirely new spirit. We resist the spirit of capitalism and communism, with both her perversions of the exchange and its exclusion of each other human aspect that isn't materialistic.

It’s the development of folk communities and mutual economic alternatives that provide the key for the abolishment of capitalism. Today the social alienation is bigger than ever before. The last remaining folk cultures are under severe attack by corporate life with her Hollywood and McDonald’s mass culture. Despite all this there still exists a pronounced urge within some people to rediscover ones own people, its roots and its cultural and historic past. Especially in an increasingly globalized world, regional and national sentiments become increasingly important. The state doesn't offer solutions but is part of the problem; it participates with the globalization with its continuous stimulation of mass migration, the destruction of small business and small farming in favour of international conglomerates and her submission to capitalist interests. Only by making ourselves as independent as possible from the state by creating our own alternative communities, we can take the first steps towards the revival of the organic folk community.
